Biography
Reyna Lubin is a fierce advocate for justice and a dedicated defender of her clients’ rights. As a highly respected trial attorney, she has built a national reputation for successfully litigating complex discrimination cases in both state and federal courts. Reyna represents individuals and nonprofit organizations harmed by unlawful conduct, with a practice focused on employment law, disability discrimination, sexual abuse, and fair housing.
Reyna has secured numerous favorable outcomes for her clients, including six and seven figure settlements in cases involving unlawful discrimination, sexual harassment, sexual assault, and retaliation. She has successfully opposed summary judgment motions in federal court for clients who experienced workplace sexual harassment and obtained favorable jury verdicts on behalf of clients who were subjected to discrimination.
Her recent achievements include:
- Pre-litigation resolution of racial discrimination claims on behalf of a black woman against a multinational media company.
- Pre-litigation resolution of a sexual harassment claim against a major pharmaceutical company.
- Lead arbitration counsel in a racial discrimination and retaliation matter against a national food and beverage group that resulted in a substantial settlement for the Claimant.
- Litigation on behalf of a woman in a sexual harassment matter against her former employer, a New York real estate company. The matter resulted in a favorable settlement for the Plaintiff.
- Successfully opposed a motion for summary judgment to dismiss hostile work environment and retaliation claims brought by two former nuns against their religious employer.
- Won a federal jury trial involving disability discrimination on behalf of a deaf plaintiff.
- Won two federal bench trials involving disability discrimination.
- Won two federal trials on behalf on a fair housing organization who uncovered violations of the Fair Housing Act in various assisted living facilities.
- Drafted an appellate brief before the Sixth Circuit that expanded the statute of limitations for plaintiffs.
Prior to joining the firm, Reyna served as an Assistant District Attorney at the Kings County District Attorney’s Office. There, she prosecuted over 2,000 cases involving intimate partner violence, including charges of murder, sexual assault, firearms offenses, and unlawful dissemination of intimate images.
Reyna is a proud graduate of Louisiana State University. While earning her law degree, she was inducted into the Wex Malone American Inn of Court for her outstanding trial advocacy. As an undergraduate, she competed as a Division I student-athlete on the women’s soccer team.
A frequent speaker on issues of sexual harassment and fair housing, Reyna continues to be a leading voice in the fight for civil rights and systemic accountability.
